Designer

My professional newspaper journey began when I was an intern at the St. Petersburg Times in 2002. Before joining the Tampa Bay Times staff, I spent most of my career working for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans. I am no stranger to humidity, hurricanes and strong local journalism. I am passionate about design’s role in presenting the news in an organized, appealing way in whatever format. Outside of work, I spend my days with my husband and 110-pound dog reading books and indulging in my other passion — playing Scottish fiddle music. I started playing the violin in 2014 and have a strong belief it is never late to learn something new.
