Hi! I’m Lesley. I report on breaking news and criminal justice for the Tampa Bay Times. I grew up in Tampa and fell in love with writing at my high school’s newspaper. I’m delighted to be back in my hometown, telling stories that matter. Prior to the Times, I reported on Spanish language misinformation for the Miami Herald and I’m a graduate of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism where I studied investigative reporting and narrative writing. When I’m not reporting, you can find me at home with my fluffy cats Willow and Ash, or trying to find the best matcha in St. Pete.
